When we met with Michelle and John to chat about their wedding photography at Graylyn in Winston-Salem, we knew they were going to look fantastic. However, they weren’t entirely sure how comfortable they were with having themselves photographed! But about one week before the wedding, they signed us up, and as you can see, they are completely naturals in front of the camera.
Michelle looked like an actual princess, especially with all the children flocking around her throughout the day. And with backdrops like St Paul’s Episcopal church and Graylyn, magical photographs are almost a given.
Their beautiful fall day started out at the venerable Graylyn, with a sweet first look just outside the white garden. We traipsed around the grounds, ending up in the circular staircase for some classic wedding day portraits.
After a heartfelt ceremony at St. Paul’s, we headed back to Graylyn for a first dance under the open air, and a delicious meal in the main dining room. After cutting the cake, we danced the night away, taking a quick break for some dramatic nighttime photographs in front of the mansion and in the always charming rotunda.
Finally, Michelle and john departed through a sea of golden ribbons and the well wishes of friends and family. Thanks you two, enjoy some of our favorites from your special day!
